Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world (8,586m) dominates the landscape and is revered as Sikkim’s guardian deity.

Suggested Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival
Pick up from Bagdogra airport and drive to Darjeeling. (4 hrs.) Arrive Darjeeling /Check in hotel. Evening free. Stay O/N.

Day 02: Darjeeling (2100m)
Morning Visit Himalayan Zoo to see the Himalayan fauna in it’s natural habitat, red panda, black bear, yaks and the famous show leopard/ Himalayan Mountaineering institute and Museum of Everest Expedition / Tibetan self help centre, training and sales Emporium of Tibetan handicrafts. Evening free. O/N Darjeeling.

Day 03: Darjeeling to Pelling.
After Breakfast drive to Pelling. Arrive Pelling (Pemayangtse) Evening take a pleasant walk enjoying the sun set over Mt. Khangchendzonga. Stay O/N.At Pelling.

Day 4: Pelling
Pemayangtse (2,085m) the Morning Visit the Pemayangtse Monastery. This is a premier monastery of Sikkim built in the 17th century. Afternoon A short walk to Sangobhholing Monastery (02 km/45 mis) located on a hillock above the hotel. On a clear day the view of the mountain range is breathtaking. O/N at hotel.

Day 05: Pelling to Yuksam
Drive from Pelling  to Yuksam via Khangchendzonga water falls and  famous Khechoperi Lake- the wishing Lake and drive to Yuksam hotel check in evening free/Stay O/N.

Day 06:Pelling to Gangtok
 Early morning short walk to Dubdi Monastery back to hotel and after breakfast drive to Gangtok (1,600mts/117 km 5 hrs) In the morning drive through semi tropical forests, cardamom plantation’s and small villages to Gangtok, once the capital of the kingdom of Sikkm,after noon relaxing. O/N at hotel.

Day 07: Gangtok
After Breakfast take a full day sightseeing around the area where you will visit the Visit Enchey Monastery, Deer Park, Government institute of cottage Industries, Dodrul Chorten, Research institute of Tebetolagy afternoon Visit Rumtek Monastery, situated 24 kms out side of town, this magnificent monastery was built by the late Gyalwa Karmapa, the head of the Kagyu sect. O/N at hotel.

Day 08: Gangtok
A easy excursion to Tsomgo Lake situated at the Indo-China border at an altitude of 11,400ft. (Option to have an experience of Yak ride here). Enjoy the serene beauty of the lake and return back to Gangtok. Stay O/N.

Day 09: Gangtok-Kalimpong (588m/85 kms/ 2 1/2hrs)
In the morning drive along the Rangit river valley to Kalimpong. In the afternoon visit  the flower nurseries, local monastery and the handicraft centre. O/N at hotel.

Day 10: Departure-
 Early morning drive Bhadrapur /Biratnagar airport (221kms/ 6 1/2 hrs).

Day 01: Arrival

In the morning drive to Lachung, a small picturesque village surrounded by high snow cap peaks, located in a valley in North Sikkim. O/N.

Day 07: Lachung-Yumthang-Lachung (3,500mts 25 kms)
 After breakfast we drive through conifer and rhododendron forest the drive is an enjoyable experience. Packed lunch provided. O/N at hotel

Day 08: Lachung-Gangtok Drive back to Gangtok.

Day 09: Gangtok to Kalimpong
Drive from Gangtok to Kalimpong (85 kms/3hrs) after lunch local sight/seeing of Kalimpong. O/N in Kalimpong
