Muktinath trekking lies in the district of Mustang and is about 18 km north east of Jomsom at an altitude of 3, 749m. Trekking to Muktinath begins from Jomsom which is the most popular trekking destination in Nepal. Muktinath is the pilgrimage centre for Hindus and Buddhist. The main shrine is the pagoda dedicated to Lord Vishnu and the Buddhist Gompa.
The main attraction of this trek is the famous Muktinath temples 108 water spouts from where holy water pours, Jwala Mai temple where you can see an eternal flame fed by natural gas and marvelous views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Himchuli, Machhapuchchhre and Thorang peak.
