Suggested Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu (1300m) – Lhasa (3650m)
Fly to Lhasa over crossing the highest Himalayan ranges of the world. Transfer and check-in to your hotel. Full rest for acclimatization – hotel.

Day 02/03: In Lhasa
Two full days sightseeing tour of Lhasa, including Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar, Potala Place, Drepung and Sera Monasteries. Overnight in hotel.

Day 04: Lhasa – Xigaize (3,900m)
Scenic rive to Xigatse, to the west of Lhasa through the northern road. The drive is scenic as the road passes along the valley made by the Brahmaputra River (Yarlung Tsangpo). Overnight in hotel.

Day 05: Xigatze – Gyantse (3,950m)
Morning sightseeing to the Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpa Monastery. Drive to Gyantse and visit to the Kunbum Stupa and Phalkor Monastery. Overnight in hotel.

Day 06: Gyantse – Tsedang (3,400m)
Full day picturesque drive crossing over Karola (5,000m) and Kambala (4,794m) passes, and the colorful Yamdrok Lake. Continue to drive to the Tibetan life line river Bramhaputra (Yarlung Tsangpo) and on to Tsedang. Overnight in hotel.

Day 07: Tsedang – Samye – Tsedang
Early morning drive to jetty site by the side of the Bramhaputra River and cross the river by a local made motor boat (1 hr). Continue a short (30 min) drive by a truck to Samye Monastery. Explore Samye and drive back to Tsedang. Late afternoon visit to Yumbulakhang and also Thandruk Monastery. Overnight in hotel.

Day 08: Tsedang – Kathmandu
Early morning drive (2 hrs) to Airport for departure flight to Kathmandu.
