Kharta valley is an isolated region that a joins with Mt Everest National park. This arid, yet beautiful Tibetan plateau is a vast wilderness of alpine lakes, yak meadows and endless mountain views. The Kharta trek starts from Kharta valley, 140 km southeast from Xegar. From Xegar, the trek heads for the khangseung face via the exceptionally beautiful Karma Valley which has views of such giants as Mt. Makalu , Mt. Everest, Pethangtse, Lhotse and others.
This trek and sightseeing tour of Tibet takes in the highlights and gets you away from the normal touristy paths and out into the true Tibetan wilderness. Trekking is accompanied by yak porters, making you feel like a true nomad as you traverse the valleys and hillsides, you are sure to have an unforgettable experience.
