Next door to the most famous region in Nepal, the Khumbu is the region of Solu and the Lake of Dhud Kunda. This area is home to the friendly Sherpa People. The region of Solu gets fewer tourists than the Khumbu making it a refreshing and peaceful place to trek where you will be overawed by the locals, the natural beauty of the area and the stunning mountain scenery. The lake, Dhud Kunda is a milky colored lake that sits at the foot of Shrong Yul La, “ Protector of the Solu”. The trek begins in Jeri and follows the Jeri Lukla Path before branching off on to a newly opened trekking trail over forested ridges and through sparsely populated terrain. As the trek progresses, we enter the high pasture land and native Rhododendron forests. We follow the route of the Beni Khola before ending up in Lukla to complete the trek. Its one of the most rewarding and beautiful camping treks in Nepal.
