The currency of Bhutan is the Ngultrum, more commonly denoted as the BTN. The currency does not exchange with other nation’s money except for the Indian rupee at a 1:1 ratio. BTN can only be purchased in Bhutan, you should bring along enough Indian currency for the duration of your trip, also you may have trouble exchanging your money in smaller towns. The currency is divided into 100 chetrum and comes in the note forms of, 1,5,10,20,50,100 and 500 BTN
